HOW IT ALL STARTED
Christpoint Church is a community that began in 2013 with a mission to reach the Upper Cumberland and beyond for Jesus.
In the late winter of 2013, there was a small group of people in search of a Pastor. Simultaneously, there was a shepherd across town without a flock. Pastors Steve and Tena Qualls and a small group of six people met around a single coffee table on a Thursday morning in May of that year. Christpoint Church was launched on Mother’s Day 2013 with thirty-two people in attendance. Some would ask what the goal or vision was in those early days and it was simple: “Welcome home, please stay.” Since that first “nearly empty” service God has shown favor with expansions, church growth, and many lives changed for eternity.
Christpoint Church launched a second campus in the late fall of 2018 in Smithville, TN, now run by an incredible team who are experiencing the same growth and heart for reaching the community for Jesus. Christpoint Church is continuing to find favor, expand, and do all that it can to reach the community for Jesus. This is a place where everyone can belong.
